A system is only as good as the speed at which you can access your data. The Quick Search is our answer to a “smart search” allowing you quick and easy access to not only find Stakeholders, Legislators, Committees, Custom Caucuses, Tags, PACs and more, but at the same time, in-depth data that can answer your questions almost immediately.
Accessing the Quick Search
To access the Quick Search, look for the magnifying glass icon in the navigation bar. Clicking on the icon will popout the Quick Search and allow you to begin finding.
Finding a Stakeholder, Legislator, Tag or Committee / Caucus
To find a specific stakeholder, legislator, tag or committee / caucus, simply begin typing in the Quick Search text box provided. Searches might look like:
- schumer – This search would bring back any of the above that matched the string. In this case, you’d return Sen. Chuck Schumer, as well as any PACs, tags, or stakeholders matching that name;
- “John Smith” – Notice the quotation marks. This will do an exact match for anyone in the system whose name is “John Smith;”
- smith – Like the schumer search above, this search would return all Stakeholders and Legislators with smith in their name.
Note: When searching for a specific user, put their entire name in quotation marks. (e.g. “Ingrid Davis”)
